Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary butterfly

Any travel guide about Binsar park is incomplete mentioning what its visitors said about it. So, we’ve put down some reviews given by people who have visited the Binsar sanctuary in the past:

1. Govind says: “I had heard a lot about this wild sanctuary part in Kumaon region & luckily got a chance to explore while returning from hometown. It’s 15-20 km from Almora & took approx 1 hr to reach there. I wasn’t expecting much but after 5 mins of walk itself a deer spotted ..the forest became dense & dense as we move forward. The top is worth to visit though it takes 30-40 mins walk oneway…& bit difficult with little ones but at the end the 360 view is awesome. Keep some water bottles & snacks before starting your hike there is nothing in b/w. If planning to stay in Kasar & Almora leave a bit early.”

2. Gurpreet says: “It’s an awesome place! The wildlife sanctuary is a treat for nature lovers. The bright red rhododendrons add so much colour to the jungle that it mesmerises you. The view from the zero point is spectacular and the walk through the sanctuary is healing .. the silence interrupted by the calls of the birds add to the charm of it. There is nothing to do there except to just disconnect and unwind walking through the unspoilt forest and admire the Himalayas on a clear bright day. Will definitely go again!!”

3. Nidhi says: “It’s super awesome for a Trek!! The views throughout are just AMAZING. We went there in the month of June and we were lucky that it wasn’t raining until we reached Brahma Dhungi and started our journey back from there. The trek is tough coz it’s 16 km and a little slippery as it was raining. This trekking experience was definitely worth all the efforts because of all the beautiful views, the top view of Brahma Dhungi, the wildlife we saw in the our way to the top (gray langurs monkeys, wild mushrooms, flowers, etc) on our way.”

Delighted much? With so much to offer, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary surely is a promising sanctum for travelers seeking nature and adventure. Book your trip to Uttarakhand right away and experience the best of what Binsar’s wild jungles and mountain trails have to offer. Which Network Is Best In Andaman? Doesn’t Matter, Manas’ Andaman Trip With Family Was All About Disconnecting!

Out of many reasons to take a trip, there are two most common ones – harsh weather conditions and work stress. It is easy to escape bad weather, unlike stress that we sometimes end up carrying with us wherever we go. Where technology has made our lives easier, we are missing out on the element of ‘simplicity’. Smart phones have become an inseparable part of our lives. And the question on the possibility of “disconnecting from technology” to “connect with nature” is often answered with a “may be!”. But Manas Andaman trip with family has answered it with a loud and clear “Yes”.

We needed an escape from the hot weather in South India and I wanted a break from the work stress. So we were eager to take a family trip to an island destination away from the polluted cities. We were really looking forward to having a kind of trip where we could reduce the use of technology (smart phones) and spend some real family time. This is when I got to know about TravelTriangle. Corbyn's Cove Beach

our cruise trip

On arriving at Port Blair, we were very excited and curious at the same time, thinking about what our days are going to be like? After grabbing some quick rest, we started out first day at the beautiful Port Blair island by visiting the iconic Cellular Jail. We all had read and heard about this place, but bring their in reality is a different feeling. This colonial prison opened in 1906 was built by the British to exile the political prisoners. Cellular Jail now stands testifying the Indian Independence struggle. Taking a walk through the compound and thinking of how it would have been then gave us goosebumps.

The next spot on our family trip to Andaman was Corbyn’s Cove Beach, located just 6 km from Port Blair town. This sandy beach, lined with coconut-palm trees is gorgeous and perfect for swimming and relaxing. We had a great time lazing around the beach, enjoying the views and sea breeze. As the sun went down, it was time for us to head back to the Cellular Jail for a fascination light and sound show. It was an extremely touching show where, through light and sound effects, they projected the brutality and barbaric atrocities faced by our freedom fighters. The main building of Cellular Jail is used as the screen for the show.

This day of our Andaman for family trip started with an early morning refreshing cruise tour to Havelock Island. From where our first spot of the day was the Elephant Beach. This pristine beach has an energetic vibe and offers various options for water adventure, from which we were offered sea walking. Taking a “stroll” on the ocean floor and exploring this hidden side of the world is an absolutely spellbinding experience.

We were highly delighted to reach our next destination, Radhanagar Beach. This white sand beach with azure water and tropical forest cover is absolutely charming. No wonder, it has been rated as the best beach in Asia by TIME Magazine. With a length of 2 km and an average width of 30 to 40 meter, there is enough space for you to sit, relax and take it easy. This is the moment you realise that there is so much beauty outside your mobile phone screens, in the real world.

So happy with the 2 days that passed by, we were eagerly waiting for the next destination – Neil Island. An early morning sail brought us to this beautiful piece of land in the Bay of Bengal, covered with dense tropical forest. This ‘vegetable bowl of Andaman’, with countryside vibes, has some of the most lesser explored beaches of Andaman where you can spend some undisturbed and uninterrupted family time. Bharatpur Beach, though popular for water activities like swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving, is also a great place to simply relax. The white sand beach, Laxmanpur, gives you an opportunity to witness one of the most enchanting sunset views. A striking attraction of Neil Island was the Howrah Bridge, a picturesque natural rock formation in the shape of a high roofed arch.

After returning to Port Blair, our next stop was Chidiya Tapu Beach. This place is much loved by the bird watchers, and one can spot rare species of these winged creatures here. The interiors of this beach is lush green and forested with mangroves. Small ponds add more beauty to this landscape. This is also a great location for someone who are planning a trip to  Andaman with family.

We also visited the Munda Pahar Beach. This is a peaceful place with amazing views of the mountains. You would find remains of old dead trees on the beach that a lot more unique and natural element to the scene. An exciting part of this day’s journey was the Glass Floor boat ride. Watching the surface of the sea you are floating upon, through the bottom of your boat is pretty interesting.

Soon after breakfast, we left for Ross Island. Located 3 km from Port Blair, this island is from the British government ruled the entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Also known as, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, this place still has some historic ruins from the colonial era. This place has a sylvan charm and we enjoyed taking a nature walk, exploring it further.
We also visited the North Bay Beach which is the same island that is printed on an INR 20 banknote. We did not want to leave out any opportunity of enjoyment as this was going to be our last day of tour on the Andaman Islands. So we indulged in some more exciting water activities including scuba diving and sea walking.

Day 2: Kufri tour
Day 3: Road trip from Shimla to Manali
Day 4: Manali city tour
Day 5: Solang valley excursion
Day 6: Departure from Manali

Our couple trip to Shimla Manali was like a visit to a wintry paradise. From the way to the hotel, to the various tourist attractions, there was snow everywhere. It was a perfect experience.

Snowy Road To The Hotel

honeymoon decorated room

For someone who had never seen snow before, our Shimla honeymoon trip didn’t turn out to be just romantic but like a dream come true. Our journey started from Delhi and after a long journey when we reached Shimla, we were welcomed by snow all around. Our cab dropped us a km away from the hotel, and the walk in the snow was amazing. It was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. And when our trip began like this, I and my wife were just looking forward for the days to come.

Visit The Winter Wonderland Of Kufri

Winter Wonderland Of Kufri

having fun in kufri

look serene and peaceful

Our other amazing experience on this trip was of snow covered Kufri. Around 15 km away from Shimla, the ride to this quaint hill station was beautiful. There was snow all around and the landscape looked gorgeous. The white snow made everything around look serene and peaceful. But the surprise that we got was after reaching the base at Kufri. There were horses that one could hire to reach uphill and the rates were too high. But do not miss the horse ride because every penny is worth that amazing short journey.

At times, it was scary too, but the ride was thrilling. Horses move one after another and it is a beautiful site with people going uphill and coming downhill on these sturdy horses. It was an experience that I am glad we had. Once we reached atop the hill, it was a beautiful site. We enjoyed the views all around. It was snow all around and we had a great time here. The weather was amazing and we really liked it.

Excursion To The Beautiful Solang Valley

visited Solang Valley

It was beautiful beyond words

had a great fun in solang valley

Our next destination after Shimla was Manali. Here we visited Solang Valley. Earlier I thought that Kufri was the most beautiful that a place could get in winters, but Solang surpassed it easily. It was beautiful beyond words. There were a lot of tourists here, and the place was quite lively. There were a lot of adventure activities taking place here. People were paragliding and enjoying in the snow. We clicked a few pictures too. The weather though cold, was really nice. And we had a lot of fun at Solang valley.

Manali City Tour

manali city tour

We also visited a few places in the city on our Manali trip. We visited Hidimba Devi Temple, one of the top tourist attractions here. It has been also shot in some Bollywood movies, and we were excited to visit it. Later that day we also visited Vashisht Hot Sulphur springs. It is said that these springs have healing properties, and we were more than happy to go here on our Shimla Manali trip. We also got some time to visit the local market. We headed to the famous Mall road and shopped for some woolen clothes. My wife bought pretty shawls and we got a few souvenirs to get back home from our memorable couple trip to Shimla Manali.

The following are the most important things to buy before heading to Manali:

  • Woolen Outfits
  • Socks, gloves, mufflers, and extra sweaters and jackets
  • Body lotion and your preferred cold cream
  • Medicines you generally take for mild fever and cold & cough

The following are the important tips to be kept in mind before heading to Manali on a honeymoon:

  • Try to leave for sightseeing before 9:00 AM to avoid traffic
  • Don’t think of skiing in Gulaba as its is not allowed
  • Plan the places according to the days of your vacation as the road-connectivity is not in a very good condition
  • Make sure that you pack warm clothes
  • Check the temperature before visiting
  • If you are planning to visit Rohtang Pass then prefer taking permissions in advance

I had a great experience with TravelTriangle. I highly recommend TravelTriangle and their agents. I was provided with a hassle-free trip and the entire experience was smooth. They took take of all the transfers and all the commitments from their end were fulfilled. I would really like to thank them for making our honeymoon trip to Manali and Shimla truly memorable.

Shimla and Manali are amazing places to visit. One often escapes to these destinations during the summer. But visiting these places during the winters is a different experience altogether. The white cover of snow makes both these cities look paradisiacal. Book your honeymoon trip to Shimla Manali with TravelTriangle and have a hassle-free trip.
